CSS3 media queries are very handy to target various devices with various monitor (screen) size. With the help of the CSS3 media queries we can have site optimized for iPhone and other mobile devices, with the same solution we can have site optimized for iPad and all other tablets . This CSS solution will be much more cheaper than building new mobile web site something like http://m.somewebsite.com or http://ipad.somewebsite.com.

CSS text-indent: An Excellent Trick To Style Your HTML Form

I never thought of using CSS text-indent with forms before.

Print style sheets have been somewhat forgotten, and yet they remain important all the same. Many people print out articles to read while traveling or when they have no access to the Internet.
Print style sheets have definite benefits. For example, reading on paper is less tiring on the eyes than reading on screen.
Also, following tutorials is easier if you have one next to you, with your code editor open on the screen; that way, you don’t have to switch windows every time to look something up.

I’ve recently been reviewing usability of web forms and came across this article on A list Apart. Inline Validation in Web Forms

The wonderful thing about this article is they show eye tracking results and web form efficiency using different types of inline validation (After, While and Before). They actually time how long it takes users to fill out the same for using different methods of validation. We’ve actually had this exact argument in the office trying to decide which method was best.

Everything went smoothly, all of my apps worked great. Loved the subtle interface changes, loved how quick everything loads. I really like the sharing features in itunes 9 and the new quicktime interface is great.
All was well on my MacBook Pro until I got to work and tried to mount my dev platform using MacFusion.

MacFusion now refuses to complete a connection to a remote server.

With the help of a post I found at Racker Hacker,
you can fix this in two steps:

First, quit MacFusion.

Second, open System Preferences and then open the MacFUSE pane. Check the “Show Beta Versions” box and click “Check For Updates”. Go ahead and update MacFUSE.

Third, open up a terminal and do the following:

Your MacFusion installation should now be working on Snow Leopard. My SSH and FTP seem to work fine now.

After a few hours on Tuesday of playing with the Zune HD that Microsoft sent me, I found a lot of things I like about it–the slim size, the Quickplay user interface feature that gives you immediate access to recently added and favorite songs, the big on-screen volume controls, and the Zune Pass, for example. But the Web browser seems like an afterthought.

Apple’s iTunes program is one of the most popular software products in the world. The company says hundreds of millions of copies of iTunes have been downloaded, far exceeding the 220 million iPod music players it has sold. That’s because many people use iTunes to organize, play and buy music and videos on their computers, or to burn music CDs, even if they don’t own iPods or iPhones. Ironically, the vast majority of iTunes copies are on Windows PCs, not Apple’s own Macintosh computers, because Windows machines are much more numerous.
